2023–24 SSR Redesign

Starting 2023–24, students and families will receive redesigned SSRs for the CAASPP and ELPAC summative tests. Redesigned SSRs for the Initial ELPAC and the Initial Alternate ELPAC will be available beginning with the 2024–25 school year.

2023–24 Assessment Results Release Timeline

The following table provides estimated release dates of 2023–24 CAASPP and ELPAC assessment results in TOMS, CERS, and parent and student portals. Initial ELPAC and Initial Alternate ELPAC results are available throughout the year, usually within two days of completion of all four domains.

After the first release of results, the ongoing release of results will occur daily.

Please note that the Student Score Data Files and the Test Results for California's Assessments website will display CAST and CAA for Science results for the graduating students in grade twelve, including students who took the high school CAST or high school CAA for Science in grade ten or grade eleven.

PDF SSR Page Length

With the newly redesigned SSRs, ELA, mathematics, and science results are all combined into a single PDF SSR. PDF SSR lengths are anticipated to be as follows:

CAASPP

  • Smarter Balanced for ELA and mathematics: four pages
  • Smarter Balanced for ELA and mathematics with the CAST: five pages
  • CAAs for ELA and mathematics: three pages
  • CAAs for ELA and mathematics with the CAA for Science: four pages
  • CAST or CAA for Science only: two pages

ELPAC

  • All ELPAC assessments: two pages each

SSR Cover Letter Templates

SSR cover letter templates are available for LEA staff to customize and send to parents/guardians along with the child's SSR. These letters are an optional resource and are not required to be sent with the SSR.
