CAASPP & ELPAC: Systems Updated to Support 2024–25 Testing

Dear LEA CAASPP Coordinator or LEA ELPAC Coordinator:

CAASPP and ELPAC systems have been updated to support 2024–25 testing. The following updates have been made:

CAASPP

The California Alternate Assessment (CAA) for Science embedded performance tasks (PTs) are now available in the secure Test Delivery System (TDS). The secure Directions for Administration (DFAs) for the CAA for Science are now available in the Test Operations Management System (TOMS). The four embedded PTs should be administered throughout the year shortly after the student has received instruction on the related science content.

The California Spanish Assessment practice tests have been updated with speaking and writing constructed-response items for all grade levels.

ELPAC

There are 28 new ELPAC interim assessments that are now available in the Interim Assessment Viewing System and the TDS. A total of 56 ELPAC interim assessments are available for LEA use.

Note that for interim assessment results to appear in the California Educator Reporting System (CERS), the Speaking domain and Writing domain for kindergarten through grade two must be entered into the Data Entry Interface (DEI); and the Writing domain for grades three through twelve must be scored in the Teacher Hand Scoring System (THSS).
