September 2025: Systems Resume

Dear LEA CAASPP Coordinator or LEA ELPAC Coordinator:

CAASPP and ELPAC systems have resumed operation after being updated to support the 2025–26 test administration. The following updates have been made.

CAASPP

The secure Directions for Administration (DFAs) for the California Alternate Assessment (CAA) for Science are now available in the Test Operations Management System. The CAA for Science embedded performance tasks (PTs) are now available in the secure Test Delivery System. The three embedded PTs should be administered throughout the year, shortly after the student has received instruction on the related science content.

The California Spanish Assessment practice tests have been updated with speaking and writing constructed-response items for all grade levels and the high school grade band.

ELPAC

The Alternate ELPAC practice test has been refreshed with new items. Updated DFAs and scoring guides are available on the Practice and Training Test Resources web page.
