Invitation to Attend Webinar: CALPADS and TOMS Working Together
Email Update, November 7, 2024
Dear CALPADS Administrators and Local Educational Agency (LEA) Representatives:
The California Department of Education (CDE) Assessment Development and Administration Division (ADAD) and the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) Office, along with ETS, would like to invite CALPADS administrators and LEA representatives to an informational webinar.
Date: Friday, November 22, 2024
Time: 2–3 p.m.
Register: CALPADS and Assessments Webinar
Topics to Be Discussed in the Webinar
- How CALPADS and the Test Operations Management Systems (TOMS) work together
- How testing coordinators and CALPADS administrators can collaborate to enter student data correctly
- How this work can provide a better testing experience for students, cleaner score reporting, and less manual work for LEAs to complete the testing requirements
The CDE and ETS teams realize that while so much student data is transferred between CALPADS and the Test Operations Management System (TOMS), we do not often bring LEA CALPADS administrators and assessment coordinators together to discuss how work in a single system can affect other systems. The shared CDE and ETS goal for the 2024–25 administration of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) is to have quality data in all systems, thereby easing stress and pressure on testing coordinators and CALPADS administrators.
ETS and the CDE look forward to sharing useful information, and we are eager to hear from those in the field who are doing the work.
Please plan to attend this webinar. Let's help make this the best testing year yet for your LEA!
