STAIRS: Reminder for CAASPP and ELPAC

Dear LEA CAASPP Coordinator or LEA ELPAC Coordinator:
To ensure that Security and Test Administration Incident Reporting System (STAIRS) cases are approved with sufficient time to allow students to complete testing, an LEA should submit any STAIRS cases within 24 hours of the incident and no later than one week prior to the end of either the LEA's selected window.
The LEA's selected testing window applies to the following assessments:
- Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments for English language arts/literacy (ELA) and mathematics
- California Science Test (CAST)
- California Alternate Assessments (CAAs) for ELA and mathematics
- CAA for Science
The 2023–24 statewide testing window, which will close on June 28, 2024, applies to the following assessments:
- Initial ELPAC
- Initial Alternate ELPAC
- California Spanish Assessment (CSA)
Ensure all test parts are complete for each of these assessments, for each student, before the close of the applicable testing window.
