Ordering Picture Cards for the 2026–27 Initial Alternate ELPAC

Dear LEA ELPAC Coordinator:

This message is a reminder that preprinted and precut picture cards for the 2026–27 Initial Alternate ELPAC are now available to order and download.

About Picture Cards

Picture cards serve as alternate response options for a subset of students whose individualized education programs permit their use. Note the following about picture cards:

• The Initial Alternate ELPAC and Summative Alternate ELPAC use different sets of picture cards.
• Picture cards for the 2026–27 Initial Alternate ELPAC remain the same as in previous Initial Alternate administrations and may be reused.

Determining Quantities

LEA ELPAC coordinators should collaborate with special education staff at each site to determine how many grade-level or grade-span picture card sets are needed. Keep in mind that one set may be used by multiple students.

Printing Picture Cards Locally

Picture cards can also be downloaded as PDFs from the Secure Materials screen, located under the [Resources] tab in the Test Operations Management System. LEAs may print these sets locally if preferred.

Ordering Preprinted and Precut Picture Cards

Preprinted and precut picture cards may be ordered from the Administration and Scoring Training website. Note the following about picture card orders:

• Printed picture cards are now available for shipment.
• The LEA ELPAC coordinator is the only person with access to place picture card orders.
