Register Now! 2025–26 Introduction to CERS Online Trainings

Dear California Educators:
Registration is now open for the 2025–26 Introduction to the California Educator Reporting System (CERS) online training. In August and October 2025, two types of training will be offered for specific audiences.
During these trainings, CERS features will be shown using the CERS Sandbox training tool, which is free and publicly available using fictitious students and data. Access to the live CERS environment during the training session will not be required.
2025–26 Introduction to CERS for Test Coordinators and Administrators
This three-hour online training is designed for local educational agency (LEA) staff who have one of the following roles in the Test Operations Management System (TOMS):
- LEA Coordinator
- Test site coordinator
- Educator—District
- Educator—Site
The session will include opportunities for attendees to practice using various features of CERS. Topics covered include:
- an overview of CERS features, including administrator tools;
- how to access individual and group summative assessment results;
- key features available for viewing assessment results for ELA, mathematics, CAST, and ELPAC Interim Assessments;
- resources available to help provide support for staff who want to know more about CERS; and
- procedures for giving LEA staff the access they need to view student results.
The following training session dates are available:
- August 20, 2025, 8:30–11:30 a.m.
- October 7, 2025, 8:30–11:30 a.m.

Materials Only Option: If you cannot attend the live training session but still wish to be notified of the availability of session recordings and receive the session materials (such as slides and any associated handouts), please complete this Training Materials Notification form instead of registering.
2025–26 Introduction to CERS for Teachers
This two-hour online training is designed for LEA staff who will have access to assessment results in CERS, for example, teachers who have students rostered to them in the system, and other LEA staff who access student assessment results in CERS. The session will include opportunities for attendees to practice using various features of CERS. Topics covered include:
- an overview of CERS features;
- how to access individual and group summative assessment results;
- key features available for viewing assessment results for ELA, mathematics, CAST, and ELPAC Interim Assessments;
- creating customized student groups within CERS; and
- resources available to support classroom instruction.
The following training session dates are available:
- August 27, 2025, 3:30–5:30 p.m.
- October 9, 2025, 3:30–5:30 p.m.
