Dear California Educator:

The California Department of Education invites you to attend the Interim and Formative Assessment (IFA) Webinar Series. This free professional learning opportunity consists of live webinars focused on the interim and formative assessment components of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) assessment systems.

This informative series is designed for teachers, instructional coaches, and educators on special assignment, but local educational agency test coordinators and administrators may also find this training useful to further support educators.

All sessions will be offered in both the summer and the fall. Registration is now open for the summer sessions!

IFA Webinar Series

The IFA Webinar Series is composed of three independent webinars focused on using the interim and formative assessment components of the CAASPP and ELPAC assessment systems to inform teaching and learning.

Webinar 1: Formative Assessment and Tools for Teachers

• Date: Tuesday, July 7, 2026
• Time: 9 to 11 a.m.

Webinar 2: CAASPP and ELPAC Interim Assessments

• Date: Friday, July 10, 2026
• Time: 9 to 11 a.m.

Webinar 3: Educator Panel and Shared Practices

• Date: Tuesday, July 14, 2026
• Time: 9 to 10:30 a.m.
