Dear LEA CAASPP Coordinator or LEA ELPAC Coordinator:

CAASPP and ELPAC systems have resumed operation after being updated to support CAASPP and ELPAC summative testing for 2025–26.

Updates for CAASPP

• The following assessments are now available in the secure Test Delivery System:
  • Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments for English language arts/literacy (ELA) and mathematics computer adaptive tests (CATs) and performance tasks (PTs)
  • California Science Test (CAST)
  • California Alternate Assessments (CAAs) for ELA and mathematics
  • California Spanish Assessment (CSA)
• The secure Directions for Administration (DFAs) for the CAAs for ELA and mathematics are available in the Test Operations Management System (TOMS).
• The nonsecure Preparing for Administration (PFA) documents are available on the Administer a Test Session web page.
• Nonsecure test administration scripts, also known as the Administering an Online Test Session documents, for the following assessments can be found on the Administer a Test Session web page:
  • Smarter Balanced for ELA and mathematics CAT
  • Smarter Balanced for ELA and mathematics PT
  • CAST
  • CSA
• Students will have access to the summative CAASPP within the available selected testing window of their LEA.

Updates for ELPAC

• The Summative ELPAC and Summative Alternate ELPAC will be available in the secure Test Delivery System from February 2 through May 31, 2026.
  • The secure DFAs for the Summative ELPAC and Summative Alternate ELPAC are available in TOMS.
  • The nonsecure PFA documents are available on the Administer a Test Session web page.
