SIS-CERS Vendor Integration
Find information about integrating the local educational agency's (LEA's) student information system (SIS) to California Educator Reporting System (CERS). This integration allows for student roster information to be sent from the SIS to CERS to create student groups automatically.
Users at an LEA whose SIS vendor has not set up this integration must manually upload student rosters into CERS by following the instruction on the Manage Student Groups page of the CERS User Guide or the Creating Groups in the California Educator Reporting System (CERS) (06:50) video.
Note that, if the SIS–CERS integration is set up, the manual group creation feature in CERS is still available to users if additional custom groups are needed.
Verify SIS–CERS Integration
The following table lists SIS vendors and whether the vendor is able to receive CERS data.
Note that this integration is separate from the Student Score Report (SSR) integration functionality, however, the vendor must be credentialed in the Test Operations Management System (TOMS) to access LEA data. If your vendor provides the LEA's SSRs on the LEA's parent or student portal, the vendor is already credentialed for your LEA. If the LEA's SIS vendor has not yet been credentialed, refer to the SIS Vendor Credentialing Overview web page for information about credentialing and then complete the steps required to complete this process.
If the response in the SIS–CERS Integration column is either "Yes" or "Pending," the LEA should contact its credentialed SIS vendor directly, using the guidance provided in the SIS Contact to Request Setup column.

Arrange SIS–CERS Integration
SIS vendors are responsible for setting up the SIS–CERS integration using the Application Programming Interface (API) Specifications, which provides all the necessary information to prepare the LEA's program for integration, to the SIS vendor to facilitate integration.
The LEA should contact its credentialed SIS vendor directly to work out the details of importing and sharing this data. An SIS vendor can also initiate the integration for the LEA by accessing the API Specifications document.
